The project was completed on schedule, within budget, and to the Navy's total satisfaction.

Overview

The Building 70A Renovation project, completed at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, included the installation of state-of-the-art, energy-efficient architectural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Grimberg diligently incorporated energy-conserving lighting systems throughout the facility to reduce environmental impact. For instance, the company installed motion detectors and ambient light sensors throughout the building which dim or switch off overhead lights when a room is either unoccupied or already sufficiently lit.

As a result of these efforts, the completed structure is an energy-efficient and LEED-certifiable facility that conserves energy, reduces waste, lowers operating costs, and demonstrates commitment to sustainable design.
