Bag House No. 1 and No. 2 Repairs, U.S. Capitol Power Plant, Washington, DC
OVERVIEW
The Bag House No. 1 and No. 2 Repairs project involved the replacement of bags, dampers, and air cylinders and structural repairs to the bag house structures. The bag houses provide filtration when the Capitol Power Plant burns coal, and the existing filters had large holes that lead to emissions concerns. Grimberg performed all work in an occupied and operational facility and completed the project on an expedited schedule.
