NAIOP Northern Virginia Award of Excellence
The John C. Grimberg Co. received the NAIOP Northern Virginia Award of Excellence for Bailey's Upper Elementary School for the Arts and Sciences
NAIOP Northern Virginia (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) was chartered in 1980 by a group of local developers. Governed by a Board of Directors and Executive Committee, which is elected annually, NAIOP Northern Virginia's professional staff is located in Alexandria, Virginia. With 52 NAIOP chapters in North America, the NAIOP Northern Virginia is one of the largest with over 900 members.

The Department of the Navy (NAVFAC Washington) recently awarded the John C. Grimberg Co. a $12.5 million contract to upgrade its advanced AEGIS Training and Readiness Center at Naval Support Facility, Dahlgren, VA. According to Cmdr. Jeffrey Brancheau, the Navy's associated Public Works Officer, the project "will provide facilities and equipment to support the highly technical training that ultimately provides the expertise and trained operators to meet COCOM requirements for Ballistic Missile Defense, Navy Integrated Fire Control, and Presidentially-directed defense programs."
AGC Merit Award
The John C. Grimberg Co. recently completed a landmark new construction for the United States military's Joint Warfighter program, providing a state-of-the-art program command and control facility, and attached equipment warehouse, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Grimberg received an Associated General Contractors "Merit Award" for its work.
Recently Completed Work
The John C. Grimberg Co. recently completed a landmark renovation and facility upgrade at the United States Naval Academy's Halsey Field House, a multi-purpose athletic center, sports arena, physical education and track facility, weight-training complex, and office building.
