OVERVIEW
The Poor Clares project involved the construction of an addition to an occupied monastery housing a community of cloistered nuns, as well as fire alarm system upgrades throughout the existing building. Grimberg redesigned the addition's elevation, post-award, to ensure that it matched the existing building's façade, as well as coordinated closely with the owner to minimize disruption to daily life at the monastery, accommodating the numerous periods of silence the nuns observe each day and maintaining their privacy.
