OVERVIEW
Performed with an 8(a) protégé partner, which Grimberg mentored throughout the project, the Building 205 contract involved the construction of a new high-bay addition to the National Institute of Standards and Technology's fire research laboratory, as well as interior renovations to the existing facility. The addition is designed to allow advanced experiments involving structural connections and assemblies conducted under intense, and real, fire conditions, and is the only facility in the nation that can provide real fire and earthquake load testing on full-size structures.
